2012 - Show Planning
With over 30 members at the start of 2012 we have planned more social events as well as the normal Train shows -
In 2012, BLTG has arranged to attend six shows. They are:
- Brisbane Model Train Show
- Toowoomba Model Train Exhibition
- Gold Coast Miniature Train Exhibition
- Canberra Brick Expo
- RMCQ Model Train show, Strathpine
- Ipswich Model Train show
Club social night - Australiana
The First social night of the year had an Australiana theme for our MOC building contest. We saw some frustrated
builders in our plastic bag speed build challenge and some fierce competition in the MOC building contest. First place
went to Melody's Australian BBQ, narrowly beating Marcus-C's giant thong.

Ipswich Art Gallery - Built for speed
Built for speed was an Interactive exhibit by the Ipswich Art Gallery. The exhibit involved building and racing LEGO Cars.

2012 - The Brisbane Model Train Show
This exhibition is run by the Australian Model Railway Association (AMRA) Queensland Branch, 2012 was the 35th Anniversary
of the show and the final to be held at the RNA Wool pavillion before it gets torn down.
Our new layout was as popular as ever, seeing a contribution by up to 20 of our members.
Again we garnered some media attention, this time from the online side of the Courier Mail.
