About Us
The Brisbane LEGO Train Group, or "BLTG" is a group of adult LEGO train enthusiasts and LEGO collectors
in and around the Brisbane/Gold Coast/Towoomba area in Queensland, Australia.
BLTG was formed by the late Peter Parsons in June 2001 and after many months of preparation our first public appearance
was at the Brisbane Model Train Show in May of 2002. Since then we have displayed our ever-evolving LEGO train layout
at many model train shows and exhibitions in the South-East Queensland area, including Brisbane, Toowoomba, the Gold Coast and Ipswich.
Apart from exhibiting at model train shows, our group also meets semi-regularly, about twice a month,
to discuss and plan future events, and do other LEGO related activities.
As a group we also organise bulk LEGO orders form the LEGO Shop at Home website in Denmark to save on shipping expenses
and get the latest LEGO items not easily available in Australia. We also organize shopping days where we will
visit various shops to see what specials are available or places of interest to observe real trains or events in action.

A word from the President...
2011 has brought new faces and change to our club and at the same time seen us go back to doing things
in ways we used to enjoy, reviving the relaxed social ways upon which our group was founded.
Aside from new faces in membership we have also seen new faces in Leadership, as Gary Quinlan, our previous
President, steps aside to pursue bigger LEGO dreams with Bricks'n'fun. We all wish him success in his endeavours,
and no doubt, his success will help the club's notoriety also.
As you will have probably already noticed, our club has a new website, with it we are looking to promote
ourselves better as serious Adult Fans of LEGO and encourage other Adults to awaken from their LEGO dark-ages also.
